Payments and Scheduling
How does online booking work?
- You will not need to enter all your information each time you book an appointment.
- You can keep track of any series that you buy and any appointments you have set for the future.
- You can check your payments, credits and gift certificates.
When you book your appointment, you will receive by email a detailed confirmation of the time, address and directions to the office and within the building. 48 hours prior to your appointment, you will receive a reminder by email and/or text message. This way, if you need to cancel or change the date/time you will be ahead of my 24-hour cancellation fee.
Why should I set up an account online?
- Book or change an appointment – note that if you are cancelling within 24 hours of the appointed time, you’ll need to call me because at that point this option is not available.
- Set up a series of appointments
- Keep an eye on how many sessions you have still to use of the series you purchased
- See your upcoming appointments, gift certificates, credits and account details
- Check your record of past appointments and payments
- Write a review of your experience – which I always welcome
- Send me an email message directly from the Inbox Messaging

How do I know if a Massage Therapist is qualified?
This license number should show on all printed or online material that identifies the Massage Therapist. The number begins with the letters ‘MA’ .
Massage establishments must also be licensed and that license, beginning with the letters ‘MM’, should be prominently displayed on the premises.
Once you have established a valid license, ask about training and experience relevant to your reason for seeking massage therapy.
You can also ask if the therapist is certified with the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB).
In addition, the two largest professional associations are Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals (ABMP) and the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA).
A true professional will hold at least one of these qualifications. Remember, in Florida the Florida board license is mandatory.
Brenda Armstrong with A Touch of Wellness holds four: both licenses with the Florida Board, plus
