How to Book a Session
Go to the scheduling page and choose the session you want with the date and time. Series are listed under special offers. You will set up a free, secure account with your name, email address and password.
Advantages of Creating an Account
♥ You won’t need to enter all your information each time you book an appointment.
♥ You can keep track of any series or membership you buy and any appointments you have set for the future.
♥ You can check your payments, credits, and gift certificates.
Booking Confirmation
When you book your appointment, you will receive by email a detailed confirmation including address and directions within the building. Forty-eight hours prior to your appointment, you’ll receive a reminder by email and/or text message. This way, if you need to cancel or change the date/time you will be ahead of my 24-hour cancellation fee.
Cancellation / No Show Policy & Fees
Cancellation of less than 24 hours in advance incurs a fee of 50% of the session.
Online Health & Wellness Questionnaire
You’ll also receive a request to complete this questionnaire. Being able to review this prior to your arrival helps me prepare for our session.

You have several options to do this:

♥ Send a message via the Contact Page
♥ Go directly to your account in the scheduling section.
The First & Subsequent Sessions
♥Beginning Discussion: we start by establishing why you want massage/bodywork and setting an agreed-upon plan of intent. I will introduce you to my methods and approach to supporting this intended outcome.
♥Treatment: during the table time, we may be silent or we may need to talk, depending on what is going on in your body and experience.
♥Closing Observations & Recommendations: It serves your progress to sit a few minutes after the table time to discuss your experience and ask your questions. I might also have observations and recommendations you can use in your daily life.
How to Get the Most from Your Massage Sessions
Participate by :
♥ noticing
- how your body feels under the touch
- any thoughts or feelings (emotions) that arise
- patterns of movement or behavior that might be connected with any stress or pain you are experiencing
♥ providing feedback during and after the session
♥ asking questions
For more help and suggestions on this, see my Blog post.
Post-Session Awareness
I usually call to check in after the first session and see how your body responded to the work. This helps us moving forward, with questions like:
♥ Were there any subtle or obvious shifts? (pain, sleep, movement, sense of peace, for example)
♥ Did you have any adverse reactions? (severe pain, discomfort, odd sensations, for example)
Some people find that keeping a journal is helpful, especially when a situation has existed for months or years. Keeping a record like this can reveal insight and sudden understanding, to help you improve your well-being.
The Healing Path & Expectations
These vary by the type of situation.
♥ Chronic (long-existent) conditions
- recovery or improvement is usually a winding path. Sometimes, it feels as though you’ve stepped backward, but this is your body’s way of accessing an issue at another level. Often this occurs between spurts of accelerated improvement.
♥ Acute (recent) conditions/injuries
- These tend to heal more readily. Length of time is dependent upon the degree of damage or surgery and your self-care.
♥ Stress Overload
- This is a wiggly subject, entirely unique to each person in terms of content. But the body responds the same way in every stressful situation.
Unbridled, stress runs out of control, resulting in tremendous physical movement problems and illness. This can be in the form of a skin or respiratory condition, gut problems, headaches, for example.
While the massage and bodywork can calm the nervous system and support your body’s proper functioning, for you to get lasting relief and better health requires that you actively tackle the source of the stress.
Modern-day stress is usually the result of some kind of conflict and as long as that conflict continues, any relief you perceive will always be temporary and your overall health will always be under threat.
♥ Active/Athletic Lifestyle – maintenance or development
- For the amateur or professional athlete, tissue mobility is a key component of strength and balance.
Along with a well-rounded regimen of toning and stretching exercise, massage and bodywork can keep joints, muscles, and tendons working in harmony for optimum energy and function.
